What I know . . .
When I first entered school, I didn’t know anything.
When I received my diploma, I thought I knew everything.
When I first entered college, I didn’t know anything.
When I received my degree, I thought I knew everything.
When I first entered the workforce, I didn’t know anything.
When I received my first promotion, I thought I knew everything.
When I first entered parenthood, I didn’t know anything.
. . . Some things never change.

Ah, with parenting…the more I parent the less I seem to know about parenting.
@Laura Pauling I keep trying to remind myself life’s a journey, not a destination. It makes it easier to enjoy the ride. Although when it comes to parenting, a comprehensive instructional manual (or even a road map!) would be more than welcome at times . . . ;-)
Ha, I’ve found that these days I’m in a state of awe at all the things I don’t know. I can’t wait to be a parent – then I’ll really feel like a moron! :-)
@Anna Well, in the meanwhile maybe you can get a bit of practice when you finally get your new dog. :)
John, that’s the plan! I think we might have found “the dog” but we’re still working out the details. Of course, once we get the dog, my blog will become nothing but dog photos….
