I too just found a paraplegic squirrel. It was in the middle of the road dragging its hindquarters in circles. Obviously it had just been hit. I couldn’t leave it there, so I brought it home thinking it would eventually succumb to it’s injuries and die. At least it would be a more comfortable death than lying out in the elements and dying of thirst. Well, the squirrel has really come around, aside from it’s paralysis. Your story has given me hope that maybe it could survive in the wild with a little help, ie. leave food out for it and provide nesting material. We’ll give it a shot. Thanks for the uplifting story!
